What’s the best blogging site for beginners?

Question:

I want to start a blog and i don’t know which site to choose.  I think it will be mainly a personal one ( like my opinion, thoughts etc).  Ah, and i’ve never had one before so i don’t really know how to start/what to do.

I’ve heard of “WordPress” and “Blogger”.  Which one of these two is better and why?  Or are there any other similar sites. I’m open to any suggestion.  And what other suggestion would you give to a beginner-blogger like me?
