Website Building and SEO Importance using WordPress
A Reader Would Like To Know:
Hi,
I have recently created a wordpress website www._______.com….lol
Anyway, I was wondering a couple questions.
1. WordPress SEO:
The first time I made a worpdress I downloaded the perfect SEO…helper? It automatically created seo with the words that were used the most. I downloaded about 50 different seo plugins this time and not one of the did this for me, do you have any idea what it’s called?
2. Do I have to put my wordpress url through google, yahoo, etc?
I did this once but whenever I look up my site it only gives older posts. Should I resubmit the whole url since I haven’t done it for around 6 months? I heard talk of doing that but never really paid much attention….
lol, I guess that’s it.
To all the people who helped me now and before, thanks!

WordPress SEO 101
Install the following plugins:
1. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin
2. Google XML Sitemaps
3. All in One SEO Pack
When you write a post do some keywords research using the Google Adwords tool. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Then add an optimized title and description using the All in One SEO Pack function at the bottom of the page.
Submit your site to Google webmasters http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and Bing webmasters http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmasters/
The Google XML Sitemaps will create a sitemap that you can submit. I have been seeing that as soon as I hit the post button the search engines are pinged and come along and spider the new content.

@flickaswitch.com Submitting a sitemap to Google is paramount. I used to get my site indexed within a day and now it takes over a week. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong or Google changed something.
When I saw you mentioned sitemaps, I decided to take a look at my webmaster account. Something I hadn’t done in months. Totally forgot about it. Hold crap! I had submitted my sites with www, but the Google XML Sitemaps plugin was generating them without the www and they were all rejected. All my months and months of blogging wasn’t even getting indexed! I had so completely forgotten about Google Webmaster Tools. Now I’m back on track. Thanks for the tips.
