How do I go about hosting a WordPress theme?
Q: I have built websites before and paid for hosting but have never used word press. I have downloaded a word press naked theme and put the code in to make it my own theme, and want to know how to host it and if I can host it for free.
A: To use your own WordPress theme you need paid web hosting. All you do is log into your control panel and go to the Software section. If you’re using cPanel control panel, the software installer is called Fantastico. Look for WordPress in there. If you’re using vDeck like the iPage control panel uses, the software installer is called SimpleScripts.
Either or, WordPress will easily install on your website or in a folder on your site. So if you already have a website and want to install a blog on it, just install it in a folder called “blog” and then link to it from your main site.
Once WordPress is installed, you can upload your theme using the WordPress Dashboard. Go to Appearance, Themes to install it.
