Some overzealous programmer at WordPress.org really screwed the pooch on this one. I use images, primarily affiliate banners, in my comments on my WordPress blogs. They made a HUGE impact on my sales. Suddenly they’re all stripped out. WTF!!!
Today I found the solution on the WordPress forum in this thread. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-305-bug?replies=8
The solution won’t be rolled out until WP 3.1, but developer Andrew Nacin says it will be soon. There is a plugin to do a hotfix. I just applied it and it works.
Plugin You’ll Need
Hotfix- Run this plugin and then put your images back in and now they’ll stick. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hotfix/ Unfortunately, it’s not gonig to help those comments that have already been striped out.
