exclude pages from WordPress
How To Exclude Pages From WordPress Menu
Sometimes you want to create a page in your WordPress blog, but you don’t want it to appear in the usual spots like a menu, navigation bar or the Pages widget. Pages you may want to exclude might be the admin-type pages like About Us, Contact Us, Disclaimer, etc. Perhaps you’d rather list them in a footer instead. Here is a super simple way to hide a page.
Plugin(s) You’ll Need
After activating the plugin, open up or create a new page. On the Pages editor in the right-hand sidebar, you’ll see a new widget called Exlude Pages like this:

By default, the checkbox is checked. Uncheck it to hide the page, then publish or update the page.
The page does remain operational and you can still link to it or call it directly in the browser’s address bar, its title just gets excluded from all the places where it would usually display, which may not necessarily be just the nav bar. That would depend upon your theme.
Comments, Tracebacks, and Pings
While in the editor, turn off comments. Even though it’s a redirect page and I don’t see how it’s humanly possible to even get a chance to enter a comment, it will keep spambots away. However, I leave tracebcks and pingbacks on. Heck, if someone wants to link to my affiliate redirect, I say more power to me.
