  • Ayin Y:

During the WordPress install it will ask for the URL and the path for the files. Just give it the path to the webroot for the subdomain and as the URL give it the subdomain and it will work as expected.

I’d like to add to what @Ayin said. As an example, if your sub-domain was something like tutorials.mydomain.com, that’s where you’ll tell WordPress to install it.

That’s the link you’ll give to others: tutorials.mydomain.com

However, in the background, WordPress creates a folder called mydomain.com/tutorials. You can upload your themes and plugins into the WP folders in the tutorials folder, or the easiest way is to upload the .zip files and install them via your WordPress dashboard. Just go into Plugins and Appearance and you’ll see the Install New links.
