Question about WordPress?
A Reader Would Like To Know:
First, is it possible to build a whole website using WordPress? I’m working on a clothing line, that I need to build a website for soon (with a online shop, about us page, etc.), so is it possible to use WordPress for that? And will it cost any money?
Second, if I start blogging now, using the free blogging system on WordPress, can I just directly port that to my site, once I have built it?

In addition to blog posts, you can set up "static" pages in WordPress and design multi-level menu systems for them for things like your About, Contacts, etc. pages. This makes it a great web design program.
The only fees will be for your web hosting and domain name registration.
Starting with a free WordPress blog is a great way to get familiar with the application. When you set up a WordPress blog on your own web hosting there is an option in the Dashboard to import an existing blog under Manage > Import.
WordPress.com will not let you use your site for commercial purposes, so don’t even get started on one. They will suspended your site in a heartbeat. Been there, done that numerous times. You’ll lose everything. They won’t even let you back in to “get your stuff”.
You’ll need to get your own domain name and web hosting. I recommend NameCheap for cheap domain names. There’s a coupon code on that page to get them even cheaper.
Then get some reliable cPanel web hosting. You can install WordPress from Fantastico in the control panel.
