Web Hosting With Free Domain Name

I’ve been using free web hosting for a couple of years now, and I think it’s time for me to register a domain name and start a REAL site. I have read numerous reviews about different web hosts to later discover elsewhere that they’re nothing but scams. I am aware that many of the “top 10 best web hosts” sites that show up so frequently are mainly just given to sites who bid for the highest mark. I want to make sure I am hosting my site at a safe, reliable, and guaranteed place before I give out my credit card number!

I’m looking for a web host that allows me to have a good amount of space and bandwidth, a WordPress install, and 1 domain name included for a decent pay-annually price.

A good “best web hosting” site compares features and pricing and includes a personal objective review from actually having used one of their accounts.  Seriously, how can one claim some host is good unless they’ve tried it out?  I’ve pulled several hosting companies from my recommendation list simply because my own service with them was a bad experience.
