Learn How to Build a WordPress Blog

 

Question:  Hi I would like to learn how to do a wordpress blogs using my hosting account. I know a little about blog building and I have when to you tube and checkout some of the information but still kind of lost. If anyone out there know of a forum or a site that helps teach people how to build blogs for FREE! Please let me know! Thx!

Answer:  If you have a decent web hosting account, WordPress should already be available from within your control panel.  Look for a software installer called Fantastico or SimpleScripts in there in the Software section.  If you don’t see it, then you must have a control panel other than cPanel or vDeck.  Submit a support ticket and ask your web hosting company where it is. 

Once you find it, then just install it.  Once it’s installed, login to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/ In the Dashboard, Appearance, Themes to change themes.  If you want to build your own themes (is that the part you’re referring to when you say you want to build blogs?), the get a program called Artisteer.  You can download Artisteer for free to try it out.  Then you can build all the free blog themes you like.  No programming skills required.
