Installing adsense ads on a wordpress blog, help!?
A Reader Would Like To Know:
Hello I am trying to figure out how to put adsense ads on my wordpress blog. I have my own domain and am using a theme that I downloaded from some site.
I was told to:
use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adsense-manager/
I put my affiliate ID in and put the code that adsense gave me, but when I save it and go to look at my site, there are no ads up.
I have been editing the ad within wordpress and havent been able to make them show up. I am using the latest version of both the plugin and wordpress
Could it be the theme I am using?

You’ve done everything right but you missed one key step (placing the ad name in the post itself).
When you are placing your ads in adsense manager you name the ad campaign.
For example Ad#1
Now that you have created the ad, you have to go to each post and enter this code [Ad#] depending on the name of your ad. That will call adsense manager and ask it to place your adsense ad.

I use adsense manager and had some trouble at the beginning.
I do my Adsense ads differently. I use a plugin called WPAds:
http://thesandbox.wordpress.com/wpads/ It allows you to insert any HTML into an ad unit.
Then I use Advertisement Management:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advertisement-management/ To select where I want ad units to display. I just insert the code generated from WPAds into AM. You can also just insert the AdSense code or whatever code into AM without having to use WPAds, but I like using WPAds to create zones and then insert the zone code into AM. That way I can create rotating ads because whatever ad unit is assigned to a zone will randomly rotate when called.
