I Cancelled My Web Hosting, Now I Lost My Site.
A Reader Would Like To Know:
I had a website with wordpress and hosting with hostgator… I cancelled the hosting ? I did not know that I would lose my website. What about the domain name that I purchased can I still use it? Are there any free websites that I can still use the same domain name? And free hosting as well? Are there any sites that are free to setup and allow to post banners and adsense? Thank you to any replies!

Sorry to hear that. Because you canceled your account before exporting it’s content, your content is gone.
First, do not go with free hosting. You risk losing everything…again. If you plan on using the domain for commercial purposes (making money with affiliate banners and/or AdSense), get your own web hosting account.
Where did you get your domain name? Did you buy it from HostGator or did you buy it on your own from a domain name registrar?
If you bought it from HostGator then you should have access to the registrar account where they registered it when you signed up for hosting? Do you still have that information available? If not, contact their customer service department to get it.
If you bought the name on your own, then you still have access to it.
All you have to do is secure new hosting and then change the DNS server settings on the domain name (at the registrar) to point to the new web hosting servers.
Canceling your Hostgator account was an expensive mistake. Keeping it would have been even more expensive. They charge nearly twice as much as what you should be paying. Get reliable, unlimited hosting here.
