How to build a wordpress church theme
A Reader Would Like To Know:
This website (lighthouse1.org) has a church layout that I would absolutely love to know how to go about designing.
Im not completely stupid. I do know I need to install wordpress on my own domain and I have already done this. I want to know more about theming and how to create a site just like that one ^^ above.
Thanks guys!

You could write a check to StudioPress, whose Church Theme ($59.95 US) is being used by that site.
Or you could find a free theme that looks vaguely similar and modify the heck out of it, which is more work but probably more fun.
With any theme, you upload the files to wp-content/themes/[theme name] and then go to Dashboard/Appearance/Themes, where the theme will appear in the list of available themes.
The theme they are using is Revolution Church 2.0 It’s a magazine style layout.
Are you wanting to code the theme yourself or are you just looking for the quickest way to replicate the look without having to buy it? If it’s the second option, I would suggest downloading Artisteer for free to see if you can make it. I have it and I’m constantly replicating themes I like. Get yourself a nice little free desktop color picker tool so you can grab the colors from the site, too. I use one from Filebird called Picker 1.0, but I don’t think it’s available anymore and I’m wasting too much time looking for it. The installation file is called TheColorPickerSetup.exe Maybe you can find it.
