Q: My new job has asked me to iron out some creases on a website it was commissioned to build, and whilst i have some knowledge of website design , i cant figure out how to access a sidebar to change an image. I have access to both the editor and admin accounts, but the file path to get to where i need to edit it is proving illusive, or am i just being dumb?
A: In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance, Widgets. All the sidebar stuff is in there.

An image in the sidebar is most likely in a Widget. Check all the Widgets to see what each one is displaying in the sidebar.
