How do I add a blog to an existing website?
My website & company is Debtfreecounselor.com – and I need to add a blog, this blog needs to be self hosted (i dont want wordpress or blogger shutting down something god for bid, that would reflect horribly on me), but I don’t really want to use wordpress because I have to do a whole installation which is kinda confusing as it is with all the changing of file names and logins and passwords and generating keys… But i hear blogger is a lot worse than wordpress. Is there anyway I can build a new blog program, i use dreamweaver very well, with css, javascript, and html knowledge. Or am i stuck with those two existing options?
Thanks for all your help guys!

You don’t have to do “a whole installation”. WordPress is probably already in the control panel of your hosting account. If you have cPanel, then it’s in Fantastico. If you have vDeck, then it’s in InstallCentral or SuperScripts. It’s pretty much 1-click installation. Install it in a sub-directory called “blog”. Then you can put a link to Debtfreecounselor.com/blog on your main site.
If you’d like to try your hand at making your own WordPress theme, you can use a program called Artisteer.
Being good with Dreamweaver, css, javascript and html is not all it takes to build your own blog program. Don’t forget the entire database. So ask yourself, do you want to spend time making money with your site, or spend time building it?
