I want to use wordpress for my website. i have the site hosting already and just want to know how to set up a wordpress theme and layout. Where can i find info on converting my website to a wordpress site?

You can’t convert a website into WordPress. Website pages are on the file system. WordPress pages and posts are in the database, not the file system. You can design a WordPress theme to look like your site using a program called Artisteer. But, once your blog is set up, you’ll have to copy and paste your current content into WordPress to create the posts and pages.
You can always leave the current content where it is and just spark up a WordPress blog in a new directory called blog and then just link to your blog from your current site.
